Rev. Gilbert Gaddie, Pastor
Pastor Gilbert Gaddie is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, and has been married to Coretta since 1999 with numerous children and grandchildren. He is a humble and gifted servant of God, whose ultimate desire is to do the will of God. Educated in public schools, before entering the United States Marine Corps and honorably serving from March 1973 until July 1977.
After serving in the Marine Corps, pastor attended I.U.P.U.I. temporarily, then Ivy Tech until selected to the Indianapolis Fire Department recruit training in March 1978. While working as a firefighter attended National Barber College for 1500 hours of instruction and training, licensed as a barber, along with college level training with the Fire Department, serving the City of Indianapolis as a Firefighter/E.M.T. with special training as a Rescue Diver on the Tactical Rescue Team, and as a Hazardous Material Technician serving from March of 1978 until December 2012.
Pastor was raised with an intellectual knowledge of God until a series of circumstances led me to a full surrender of myself and full commitment to God through intimate knowledge of Jesus being real and a part of the Godhead with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. This led to me being licensed and ordained beginning in 1992 into the Gospel Ministry by New Life Ministers Association.
Pastor worked with a number of faith-based organizations of multiple denominations, pastoring, preaching, teaching, praying, meditating, and giving Biblical advice. Visiting churches, hospitals, jails, and courtrooms. Authoring local and international articles for the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters. Volunteered with several organizations while being retired except ministry service to a local mission, served for nearly thirty years.
With a renewed ministerial commitment. Pastor Gaddie was ordained a Local Deacon in 2023 of the African Methodist Episcopal Church with a love for God, God’s people, and the Word of God. Excited to learn and share God and his Word however and wherever possible.
